HIBAPRESS – Taza
The Taza branch of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights has expressed its deep concern about the health developments of a female student who was involved in a tragic accident after falling from an urban transport bus, after the bus continued to move with its door open, according to a statement issued by the branch on October 12, 2026.
The statement explained that the student had fallen into a deep coma and was transferred to the intensive care unit at the Ibn Bajah Regional Hospital in Taza, pointing out that a delegation of association officials visited the hospital to check on her health status and communicate with her family, where they noted, according to the same source, a worrying deterioration in her condition.
In a related context, the human rights branch expressed its condemnation of what it described as indifference and negligence on the part of the management of the urban transport company in dealing with the accident and the student's family, holding the company responsible for the incident, in light of what it considered neglect of safety and supervision conditions within the buses.
The association branch called on the competent security and judicial authorities to open an urgent and serious investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident and assign legal responsibilities, announcing its solidarity with Duaa and her family, and confirming its continued monitoring of the developments in her health condition and the file, while preparing to take legitimate measures to support the victim.
